Monday Montage: Where’s the Sun?

Today the sun has hidden itself from us and we have been in the middle of a tropical storm all day. It happens, but not that often. I still exercised outside, let Z swim in her kiddie pool (in our garage), and went about our errands as though the sky wasn’t falling.

Now if it is still raining tomorrow, I may become a bit stir crazy and not be so positive… but we won’t dwell on that right now. For right now I am going to enjoy this rainy day and use it as an opportunity to put on my yoga pants early and read a book… Okay, I will put on my  pajama’s and then after Z is fast asleep, I will read a book. Well, if I am being totally honest, I will watch TV while playing “The Simpsons Tapped Out” on my phone. Saying that I am going to read sounds so much better though, don’t you think?

Wow, I totally digressed with this post, I will now get back to my regularly scheduled post showing you with photos what I did and saw in the past week. Thanks again for reading and Happy Monday everyone!

Z and I went on walk around our neighborhood to pick flowers for a bouquet. She, and I, were fascinated with this tree.

As we were walking, Z yelled, "Look mom, he has a face!" It took me a second to realize that she meant this garbage bin.

We ate at a western food restaurant yesterday and the server really wanted to take our pictures. We said ok, and then he proceeded to do a full photo shoot of us through leaves with hearts cut out of them. This is one of the ones taken of me. It was a bit awkward, if you can't tell from my very fake smile.

It rained so much today that it flooded in parts of Chalong, Phuket. It definitely made me appreciate the fact that I was driving a truck and not a scooter.

The tree looks a lot like our balete tree over here and they say this is a portal to another dimension LOL I absolutely hate rainy season. The floods, the traffic and I cannot stop thinking about the germs and the bacteria when my feet gets wet LMAO

I didn’t even think of the germs! Looks like I will be washing my feet every time I get home. 🙂

Love the photos and your very amusing writing! ZZ ‘s got quite an eye spotting the smiling garbage can.
As for rain, I like it (for a few days or even a week or two) if it’s pouring down rain because then it feels warm and cozy inside. It’s when it grey and wishy washy weather that I get the winter blues.

Yoga pants…. Well, I aspire to look good enough in them to be able to wear them in public. I have lofty peace-everywhere goals don’t i! (Well, I WOULD also like peace everywhere)

She is very observant! As far as yoga pants go, I think it is a rare person who can look cute and fashionable in them. 🙂 And yes, I definitely wish for world peace as well!

We get more than our fair share of rain here, so have to admit I prefer the sun!! Rainy days are good for TV catching up and chilling though.

Holy smokes! And I thought $10 in South Carolina was steep for a pumpkin back in the day! $65 is more like a Christmas tree price. What’s a Christmas tree cost there? Neat looking tree and trash bin. Beautiful beach. Love it. Making me start dreaming. Hope the clouds swished away for a bit! (I live in yoga pants.)

Yoga pants are a bit warm to wear outside the house here, but I rock them in the house! 🙂
A christmas tree that is 4 feet tall costs $330 (last year at least). Crazy right!?

$65 for a pumpkin. Wow! I guess a clear case of supply and demand?
Z is getting so tall! Careful before you know it she will be 30. At least that is how it has seemed for me. 🙂

I know. She is growing so fast!
I actually kept wondering if anyone had bought one of those pumpkins. 🙂

What a beautiful place to live. Yoga pants are awesome but I save mine for home. 🙂 I prefer sun but we are having a drought so I will rejoice in any drop we get. When it does rain we love to go out and play in the puddles.

It is beautiful. I agree about the yoga pants… Unless I am actually Going to yoga they never cross my front door. 🙂
Are you in California? I know the drought there has been awful.

$65 US! We skipped the pumpkins this year… might have been the first time in my life.

My daughter did get to wear a costume to school on Halloween (for the first time), so it all evened out!

We didn’t have one last year and Z didn’t dress up either. That’s why it was so important for me this year. I love Halloween!

I’m so with you. Halloween and Thanksgiving are the times of year that I tend to feel homesick.

You should have stuck with the book story 🙂

I don’t know how you’ve been keeping up with three times a week, I really don’t. Twice is a lot already!

I do like the face on the garbage bin.

      I know right? Haha
Z is quite observant, she always is showing me stuff like that. 🙂
