We are wrapping up our time here in London, England. We leave tomorrow to
finally return to the warmer, cheaper, tropical-er (yes I know that’s not a real word) land of Phuket, Thailand. What a time these last two months have been! I am still planning on writing more about our time in sunny England… no seriously… it has been sunny and WARM almost every day since we have been here. Apparently we brought some of the California summer with us (THANK GOD!).
Sorry got sidetracked, anyways…
What I want to write about today is how I am feeling after this whirlwind of a time. Yes, I know its been two months since we left Phuket on our way to America to visit friends and family, but now as we are heading to our “home” I am realizing that it went by like the snap of our fingers.
I love how Chad said it in his post last week about why we love our original home and all our friends and family and why it was so hard to leave.
I am a bit sad that our time in England and America is up. But it is up…for now. And that takes the sadness away. So there is only excitement left. Excitement to be returning to the heat, the great food, and the wonderful friends we have made in Thailand. Anticipation to see what else is in store for us on our adventure. Eagerness to grow as a person and in my faith. There is so much to look forward to on this journey of life.
Maybe I am a bit delirious still from my run in with the children’s play equipment at SFO recently, but all I see are rainbows and unicorns right now. I miss my family and friends more than I can even say. (I mean do you really want to see me cry? It’s not a pretty sight let me tell you.) But I cannot dwell on that, I need to keep my thoughts focused on what a blessing this time has been.
I am so thankful that our adventure of traveling this wonderful world of ours is not over yet. And I am thankful that when this time of traveling is done, we have amazing friends and family who are ready and willing to welcome us back. Both of these things are incredibly awesome!
I also want to thank all of you for making this trip even better with your comments, encouragement, and support! You guys are the best!
More on London in my next posts, even one about the food… I know that you are all wondering what I thought of the British food. What else would you like to know about our time in England? Leave a comment and let me know!
