Wednesday Write-Up: 201 Posts!

I know it may seem silly to celebrate 201 posts, but since I didn’t realize the milestone of writing about our adventures 200 times when I was publishing my post on Monday I thought I would just celebrate it as it is.

In those 200 posts, we wrote about our beginnings, our travels, and how different and wonderful it was to travel with our (then) 2-year-old daughter. Since today I am writing about the number of times I have posted here on And Three To Go, I decided that today I wanted to share some other “numbers” of our travels.

medium_942721412

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

NUMBER OF DAYS WE HAVE BEEN TRAVELING:   472 days

NUMBER OF CITIES/TOWNS VISITED:  22

NUMBER OF COUNTRIES VISITED (NOT INCLUDING LAYOVERS): 13

NUMBER OF FLIGHTS: 30

NUMBER OF TIMES I HAVE FELT THE AWESOMENESS OF THIS GRAND ADVENTURE: Every Single Day! (Cheesy, I know, but I couldn’t help it! It is so true!)

————————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Our journey has changed many times along the way and it may be changing again sooner than we expected.  For those of you that are new to And Three To Go, we have been staying in Phuket, Thailand. Thailand is currently under a military coup, which has not made its way through our “expat bubble” until recently.

The Thai government is cracking down on tourists who do visa runs to extend their stay in Thailand. We have been getting the correct visa’s to stay here during our stay in this complex and wonderful country, but now the rules are changing. We will not know what those changes will entail until August 12th. Our time in Thailand may be up and we will be on the move again. New places to see, new adventures to be had! Now just to decide where to go!

Where do you think we should go? Help us research our next step (haha) and tell us what you love about the places you suggest!

If you are interested in reading about all of the places we have visited, just click on the name below:

Anaheim Disneyland, Texas, Florida, Curacao, Portugal (Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Algarve), Disney Paris, Hungary, Greece (Athens, Paros), Taiwan, Thailand (Hua Hin, Phuket), Malaysia, Singapore, Tokyo, California, England (Kettering, Bedford, London)

Thank you everyone for following along and being a part of our adventure traveling this wonderful world of ours! If you would like to be more a part, feel free to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest!

Not silly at all! That is a huge accomplishment – you are one person who has written more than 200 posts! And look at all of the places you have been. Can’t believe you have been traveling for more than a year. Must be an amazing experience.

We are unsure, we have places we want to visit all over the world, we are chewing on different places in Asia and Europe. 🙂

I would LOVE to visit Poland!
I have heard so many good things about it.
937!!!! My goodness! Yes 1000 posts should be a huge celebration! You should probably get a trophy or award for that I think. That’s a lot of posts!

Exciting! Can’t wait to see where you’re going next. How do you decide where you’re headed? Do you just flip a coin or throw darts at a world map? Just curious.

Yep, that is pretty much how we decide, lol! Well and we check flight prices, rental prices, etc. but usually it’s just a whim. It used to be really difficult for me (I am a planner), but now I find it invigorating! We probably won’t know where we are going until a week or two before we leave. 🙂

Thank you! I have to admit your blog posts have made me consider a bicycle trip through somewhere in Europe… Then I remember that I am not physically fit at all and have to save that idea for later. 😉

There are all kinds of cycling trips some harder than others. The trips we so are supported so you can get in the Van if things get tough. I hear cycling the Netherlands is quite doable because it is so flat.

I have a friend that cycled from the Nederlands to Belgium. It looked amazing.

Wow, 201 posts! (Two hundred and one has a better ring to it anyway 😉 ).

Ah, so that’s what the move is all about. I can see how it all plays out. Good luck with your next visa, although sometimes it’s better to at least know and not be stuck wondering.

Where to go next? That’s a tricky one. I know Taiwan’s on the short list but I’m wondering if there’s some wildcard entry we can throw in for you.

It’s the not knowing what the visa process and rules will be like that are prompting us to prepare. We don’t want out stuff to be here and not be allowed back in the country after visiting somewhere else.
There are some places in Europe that are real contenders (Spain, Italy, Croatia, the list is soooo long). Taiwan is a real possibility, and maybe even America (though I am balking at that one a bit.) 🙂

The list is always long! All those options sound good. You haven’t thought of nipping over somewhere else in SEA? Cambodia?

We have visited Cambodia in the past and loved it. We likes Laos as well. It’s all a bit overwhelming sometimes. 🙂 have you been? Any suggestions of where to go (we have only been to siem riep)

We’ve been a couple of times. Most recent trip: https://journeysofthefabulist.wordpress.com/2013/05/21/battambang-siem-reap/

Laos is another good option. Definitely spoilt for choice!

I don’t know about that 🙂 I have never been to much of America, so you may be more adventurous than me. 🙂

Iceland! We honeymooned there and want to make it a go-to place for extended family vacations. It’s gorgeous and also a cool mix of urban and pastoral lifestyles.

Hahahaha. Yeah. I feel stuck in Thailand. Don’t get me wrong I love it, but I feel inspired to try somewhere new, too. “Grass is greener, blah, blah, blah” 😛
