One of my aspirations with this blog is to keep my writing honest and open. I have told you about some of my most embarrassing moments, my scariest moments, and even some of my introspective thoughts about travel. I have written about my real (housewife) life before, but there were a ton of comments in my Monday Montage last week from people wanting to see what the normal (some may even say mundane) things in my life look like. I had specific requests for my groceries and my housework (or lack thereof).
Because I like all you guys so much, I am bowing to your request! So todays pictures are of my not-so-clean house and my groceries, and a few other pictures from the week. Happy Monday everyone!
No clothes dryer for us! The great part of living on a tropical island is having line-dried laundry all the time. I have always found doing laundry to be soothing, and nothing is better than crisp sun-dried linens.
One of my least favorite chores, taking out the garbage… obviously. We separate our recyclable trash here, not because the garbage collectors need them that way when they collect, but because we have a few people who come around the neighborhood collecting them to help support their families. I have seen them digging through garbage bin after bin and I try to make it as easy for them as possible.
Dishes never seem to end… never ever ever ever.
A clean, but messy toddlers room… I promise it looked immaculate a few hours later (for about 5 minutes at least).
I went grocery shopping this afternoon and here is my haul. Fresh fruit from the fruit seller, yogurt, tea, Yakult (a fermented milk drink that Z LOVES) along with a bunch of other stuff.
(**Disclaimer- I was not asked to write about or recommend any of the products shown above. This is simply my personal shopping.)
And for my final photo, Z and her friends looking out at the ocean… What better way to get out of the house and forget about the work to be done?
Well, there you have it, a look into my life. Hopefully I didn’t bore you to tears (I mean how exciting can a dirty house be right)!
Now it’s your turn! What chore do you like to do? Hate? Leave a comment and share! Also, if you want to join in the fun and write a post and share some pictures of your real life, make sure to leave the link to it in the comments so I can read it!
