Photos from an Over-Developed Jungle

There is one thing about Singapore that a person can either love or hate, and that is that it is strictly preplanned and developed. It is the Disneyland of Asia, not a weed to be seen or a plant out of place. No chewing gum to be found. Toilet police making sure that you flush. It is supposed to be rigid cleanliness.

I found this blog post that tells a little bit more about some of the more strange laws found in Singapore. Give it a read.

Okay, I am probably exaggerating a little, but seriously, they will not allow you to bring chewing gum into the country. And I actually wish  they did police the toilet flushing a little better. Singapore is pretty cool for a short visit, but for me, I like a more gritty, real, and dirty big city like Bangkok.

Sorry about that little rant. To curb myself,  I am sharing the last remaining photos from our recent trip to Singapore. Enjoy!

No chewing gum? Wow we really take some things forgranted in North America don’t we? I have this vision of ‘flushing police’ that now may scare me from ever using a public washroom. 🙂
I can’t believe how tall Z is getting!

She is really growing like a weed! Already 107 cm tall!!! I have never seen the flushing police… maybe it is just something they tell us to keep us flushing haha

Singapore isn’t too bad when you’ve been here a while, we tend to bend the rules whenever we can too..even when it comes to chewing gum. 😉

I think I was being a total cranky butt in this post. I really do think Singapore is great, I think I was just tired of going the same places and writing about the same things. I was having a very public temper tantrum about my first world problems… slightly embarrassing haha. Thanks for reminding me that Singapore is great (it’s mostly about the awesome people in places right?!). 🙂

Interesting! I didn’t really know that. I wonder if I would like it or leave it?! Was that for real an “ice cream sandwich?” Was it really just on white bread?

It truly was! The bread was a sweeter kind I think though. It was strange-the two textures together.

Awww! Z is looking awfully cute!

I’ve been to Singapore before but sadly, I didn’t really like it!

It was at the end of my Gap year though Asia, and it was my last stop. I was expecting a more Chinese feel, and what I got was a Swiss version of Asia instead lol!

I liked all the sights though like the Night Safari, etc but I haven’t been back again since.

Oh my goodness, that is it! A swiss version of Asia! Exactly. Couldn’t put it better myself. I think going there three times in three years made me a sassy pants and I threw a little tantrum in this post… Embarrassing a little. LOL
