Monday Montage: Tokyo in Pictures

There are so many places that we have been to along this journey, but I have always wanted to visit Tokyo, Japan.  As we were buying our flights back to the USA to visit our home town, we realized that in order to use our American Airlines credit card miles we would have to depart from Tokyo. It seemed like a sign that we should spend a little time in the beautiful and bustling capital city of Japan. We booked our tickets.

Last week, we left Phuket. After a very long layover in Kuala Lumpur airport, and flying for most of the day, we arrived in Tokyo! It was exhilarating to be somewhere we had never been before. We actually had to figure things out and ask for help with bus schedules from the information desk at Haneda Airport. It was refreshing to feel that newness and slight anxiety of being in a totally foreign place again.

For my Monday Montage this week, I wanted to show you some of what we saw in Tokyo and also share about the apartment that we rented from airbnb.com. I have so much more to tell you in my Wednesday Write-Up and my Friday travel post, so if you haven’t already, make sure to subscribe.  You can also follow us here at And Three To Go on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

The view of the apartment from the front door. Z was being a big helper and volunteered to show how small the room was in relation to her almost-three-year-old stature.

The kitchen. I will never complain about the size of my refrigerator again.

 WHAT WE SAW IN TOKYO:

One of the streets of Tokyo. I was impressed with the quiet, clean, and orderly streets we encountered. All of them were very stroller friendly.

A daytime photo of the Shibuya Crossing. It doesn't look that impressive during the day. I wasn't able to get a nighttime photo of it. Apparently that is the time to go... oops.
