Someone needs to pinch me. We have officially moved into our new home in Phuket, Thailand three days ago. It has been Chad and I’s dream to try living in Thailand since before we got married, and now here we are.
We found a beautiful house in the Chalong area of Phuket. We are within walking distance to restaurants, shops, new friends homes, and a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Not only are we over the moon about being here in Thailand for a bit longer, but we also just booked tickets to visit our family and friends in California in April! We are stopping in Tokyo, Japan on our way to America, so do not think that just because we have a house in Phuket, the travel is over, we will continue to travel and I will continue to write about it.
I wanted to give you all the grand tour of our new house… Welcome!
Our new home in Phuket, ThailandWe may have downgraded on the pool size from our place in Hua Hin, but our new yard is easy to take care of, not to mention beautiful. The foyer. I don’t know if the shell curtain thing will stay, as I keep hitting my head on it, but it sure looks pretty. The living room. This has to be the largest piece of furniture I have ever had in a house I have lived in. I just don’t know what to do with the storage space. The dining room.A typical Thai kitchen. It used to be an outdoor kitchen, but has since been blocked in. The two bedrooms that are adjacent to the kitchen have windows that look into the kitchen (or what used to be outside).Other view of the our kitchen. You can see the windows to the bedrooms in this picture.Walkway to the bedrooms and baths. (Sorry no pictures of the baths, I figure you can imagine what a toilet, shower, and sink look likeThe guest bedroom.Z’s bedroom.Another view of Z’s bedroom, finally a place to set up her own room with her tent and toys.Another view of Z’s bedroom. Our bedroom.Other view of our bedroom.
I hope I haven’t bored you to tears with the tour of our new place, but I have had so many people ask about it that I figured it was easier just to use my Monday Montage to show you instead of tell you.
