Monday Montage: Sharing is Caring

I have been really feeling encouraged by all of you lovely readers. Your comments keep me coming back twice a week every week to share our life with you. I love what I have learned in the past two years, not only by traveling, but by reading other blogs, and building relationships with all of you. Sharing our experiences with you all have made them richer and more interesting!

There are a couple of changes that I have decided to make in my Monday Montage posts (thanks for all the feedback last week):

1) More Pictures. I have fallen behind on my picture-taking lately, and now I feel the need to get my camera out more often and take even more pictures to share with you all.

2) I have also decided that I will share a blog that I absolutely love reading and that has impacted me in a positive way. I am calling it my ‘Blog of the Week’ (I know, it’s a really creative title, isn’t it?), please go check the blogs out and say you found them through And Three To Go! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Blog of the Week

Today I want to share {Wild Tales Of…} which is written by an awesome lady named Kate. She, her two young children, and husband are always on the move. They travel around their area in Washington state and further. They are avid hikers and have made me want to give hiking a go as well. I have always been more of a concrete sidewalk walking kind of girl, but her stories and pictures make me want to get out in the wild. Make sure to go check her out at {Wild Tales Of…}!

Pictures of the Week

I can't believe I forgot to mention the elephants that lived behind our resort in Khao Lak! This elephant would just walk around with his mahout on his back for a while each day and then him and one other elephant would roam around in the pasture the rest of the time.

Z went to a school friends birthday party and had a fantastic time! It was quite the event! Have you ever noticed how hard it is to get all the kids in a picture to smile at the same time? Ack!

Wine for the mums at a kids birthday party, yes please! One thing I love about living here is that the parents are always treated special during kids parties as well. Yummy!

Do you see what I see? This resort offered a Kid Krub, isn't that so sweet?

The same place also sold POO? I have no idea what that is all about.

Now it’s your turn! Would you buy poo? Or leave your kids at a kids krub? No, but seriously… what kind of birthday parties do you like to throw and/or attend? Leave a comment and let’s chat!

Thanks again for following along on our journey and for commenting and chatting with me. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest if you would like to see us more often.

I love your pictures, so more is great! And I’m looking forward to checking out your blog recommendations. But I’m really stumped by the concept of a krub. What is it?!?

I am just wondering if it’s supposed to mean something else? But what could it be???

hA HA, love the photos… and weird takes on english… makes me giggle every time. How cool is the the unicorn!? Would I buy poo?? Depends what sort… maybe animal poo if I had a garden… human poo? now I’d be interested to find out how they collect it and get enough to sell… are there human poo farms out there somewhere???

It makes me giggle too… I am not sure what kind of poo it is, or even if it is poo. I know many farms here are fertilized with human poo (the reason you have to wash your fruits and veggies extremely well) but I don’t know why a resort would be selling it… I may have to go back just to ask.

I must admit your interview gave me the idea. Also I love sharing my favorite blogs… I have so many (and although most are more popular that mine) I would love to share them with my readers. How’s the move? Has it started yet?

Could it be shampoo? Was it that kind of shop? Was the elephant pasture fenced in? What were the spiny looking things on your plate at the birthday party? I love hiking! What a lucky family! It’s what I dream of doing with my whole family once they get big enough. I’m not woman enough to tote the baby on my back up a big hill. 🙂

Oh maybe! It was a gift shop at a resort, so maybe that’s it.
The pasture was not fenced in. The elephants seemed to roam a bit, so they either were not chained or had a very long chain.
The spiny things are rambutan fruit. They taste kind of like a milder lychee. I think they are just fun to eat because of the way they look. 🙂
I’m not woman enough to tote myself up a big hill lol. But Kate sure makes me want to try. Also I think that Washington state would be the perfect place to hike (when it’s not raining.) 🙂

I would never buy poo! I’ve seen enough poo to last me a lifetime! Hahahah And you know what? I have never seen a elephant my entire life! Sad, I know.

They don’t have elephants in The zoo there or something? Okay, when I make my millions (by winning the lottery of course because how else would I make millions?!) I am flying you over here and we are gonna give elephants a bath and walk around with them 🙂
I know, I think I could supply the poo with the puppy and preschooler haha. 🙂

I know… I accidentally published it, it’s coming out on Friday 🙂 the one I sent out was just a preview to wet your appetite. Lol. No but really, I have no idea why it published, all of a sudden I had it in my email and then had to scramble! Especially since it was only half written. Oops!

Thanks so much for featuring me as your blogger of the week, Jenny! Such an honor! I love reading about your adventures & I’m so appreciate of you following along on our journey as well–love reading your comments–you’re always so upbeat and positive.

Our zoo sells “zoo doo” that is compost material made from…you guessed it— the animal waste from the zoo! We haven’t purchased any yet, but I hear it’s the best around!

      You deserve it!
That’s a great way of supporting the zoo and thinking of the environment and ones garden! I wonder if the resort does sell real poo? I really do think I should go back and ask. 🙂
