Monday Montage: My Mom in Thailand Again!

I got some really exciting news a few days ago… MY MOM IS COMING TO VISIT!!! Her tickets are booked and she will be here in just a few weeks!!! Just in time for Z’s 4th birthday. It is bound to be a grand time with much fun had! I have lots planned for her… and much of it will be new for me too! So expect many posts about my travels with my mom!

Over a year ago, my mom visited while we were in Hua Hin, Thailand and there were some serious setbacks to our fun time. There was a huge storm the day she arrived which knocked out our power for a few days and broke the town water line, so we didn’t have running water for the first 12 days of my moms visit. She took it like a champ though and even wrote a post about her time here.

This time around, water won’t be an issue, our landlord is awesome and has made sure we have two 1000 liter reservoirs of saved water in case our water is shut off. In fact our city water was shut off for a bit a month or so ago, and we didn’t even realize it for a few days. We are good on water… but most likely there will be something else that doesn’t go as planned. One thing living in a foreign country teaches you is that flexibility is key. Well, actually flexibility no matter where you live is key.
