Monday Montage: Mondays…..

Yep, the dreaded Mondays. Seriously, who can say they like Mondays? I don’t think I have met anyone that can say that Monday doesn’t come with it’s own special form of hell most weeks.  Even here in Phuket, despite the fact that we live as expats and don’t work normal 9 to 5 jobs, it still feels like a Monday. The hustle and bustle of the new week is beginning before I am ready. I want to have more fun!

Because I realize how rough Mondays can be, I am so thankful that you all still read these Monday Montage posts. That you fit me into this often not-so-pleasant busy day is truly a joy to me. And I hope that I can be a joy to you as well, so from now on I plan on writing only positive things on Mondays. Moments of humor from my week, uplifting things I read or learned, or even maybe sharing one of my favorite positive posts from another blogger that I have read during the week.

Lately, I think my negativity has outweighed my positivity on Mondays. I am taking them back. Want to join me? Meet me here every Monday. Thanks for reading!

I had to start with our cute puppy sleeping on my lap. That's a great start to any Monday, right?

This is a bit tough to see, but this restaurant is called Thai Garden, and is a Korean restaurant (confusing right?). I cannot figure out if the building is supposed to look like a mortar and pestle or a bottle of wine in a bucket. Anyone want to hazard a guess?

Now it’s your turn! What do you think of the more positive Monday idea? Would you buy chicken from open air containers like the ones I showed above? What do you think the Korean restaurant is supposed to be? Leave a comment and join in the fun!

Oh my gosh your puppy is so cute!! I bet Z just adores him! I can’t wait until we get a puppy someday! No clue about the restaurant. Seems odd it says Thai, but it’s Korean food…

It makes me laugh every time I see that restaurants sign!
Jingle is adorable and annoying as most puppies are but he LOVES z so much. He wants to sleep when she does, play when she does, everything. It’s so cute!

Yeah, the chicken is not so cute is it? But I will say BBQing it makes it delicious!

Yes to all of it! Fabulous and fun photos! Loved seeing how they sell chicken. What do you put it in? Z and the puppy belong together, eh!? So cute! I actually like Mondays because we get some order back in our house, but it does seem like all I do is catch up!

We put the chicken in a plastic bag, similar to the ones in the produce section back home… Just a little sturdier.
Jingle is the puppy for z, no doubt about that. They are already little partners in crime… Ahem I mean fun. 🙂
I am loving hearing all the different feelings about Monday’s. Especially the positive ones like yours 🙂 thanks Terri!

Adorable puppy! Is Jingles calm or already a bit crazy? As for Mondays, yesterday was my last day of the spring semester so my students were literally jumping off the walls (and desks, and chairs). Sadly, I have one day vacation before summer school starts Wednesday. So this week. I think Wednesday is the bearer of bad news for me. Hope you had a positive Monday!

Thanks! He varies, depending on Z’s mood 🙂 he is pretty in tune with her. If she sleeps, he sleeps and such.
Oh man, I hope you have an awesome Tuesday and the summer kids don’t treat you too badly 🙂

Since the chicken gets cooked between then and eating, it doesn’t bother me, but maybe that’s a sign of spending a lot of time in open air markets! Happy Monday!

I agree completely! It took me a bit, but now I am totally ok with this. I still struggle a little in the truly outdoor markets with the people just swatting away flies from the meat though. What’s your thoughts on that situation? Do you see those often in Hong Kong? I assume you do, but you know what they say about assuming…

Ok that was a dose of pure lovely sunshine. Except for the chicken picture – that made me question everything. But the rest? utterly charming! thanks!
