Monday Montage: Good-Byes Suck

Today is our last day in California. My heart is breaking from all the good-byes I have had to say this week, but I am so thankful that I was able to see everyone that I did.  This visit has been better than I imagined and I will be writing more about it as this week goes on, but right now I am going to go spend the remaining time I have here with my family. Talk to you all from England soon!

This is the park where I have been jogging every morning. I love all the beauty in my parents neighborhood. Also, yes, you read that correctly… I started jogging a week ago. I turn 35 this year and have decided that I need to do something physical that I could do anywhere at any time. I actually love it!

Another Charles Schulz Charlie Brown statue that Zoë was very excited to see and have her picture taken with.

I drove to San Francisco a few days ago and HAD to get a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a beautiful sunny day in the city.

A gorgeous park in Sonoma, California.

While driving in Sonoma County this is much of what you will see, vineyards with a hilly backdrop. It definitely could be worse!

Happy Monday everyone!

Ah goodbyes are always hard. 🙁 But there’s always the next time to look forward to. Have a safe trip to England!

Thank you! They are very difficult, but with each time I have to say them, they get more easy, as I truly realize that it is just “see you later” not a true good-bye. (I think that may be the longest run on sentence I have ever written, but you know what I mean haha)

SO glad your trip was great. My kids always ask why they’re so sad when we leave Granny’s house or Grandma’s house. Breaks my heart.

Yes, I think it is far harder seeing Z’s reactions to missing her family. I can handle it and have lived far from family for many years of my life, but seeing her little eyes when she asks where her family is breaks my heart…

I know, I was really worried about such silly things… but it was nice to get them out so I didnt stew on them. 🙂
England has been wonderful so far, we have been in Bedford but I am heading with Z to London on Friday for a little tourist time.
