The last thing you remember seeing is one of the men pull a taser out of his pocket. You remember feeling the jolt of magical electricity coursing through your body before you surrender to the blackness of unconsciousness.
You awaken in a square room without windows and the door leading out is closed. As you slowly rise to your feet your vision blurs from the pain in your head. Being tasered was not the outcome that you had been hoping for in the limousine. But considering that you were being less than cooperative, it was not surprising.
You check the door and find it locked. That isn’t a surprise either, but still it is disappointing.
Suddenly an envelope is pushed under the door. You open it and read. “You have been found guilty of unbecoming behavior of a paranormal. We found the invitation from the Brothers of Evil in your pocket. Since you were on your way to accomplish the task set forth in said invitation, we have sentenced you to life in solitary confinement. Enjoy your stay.” It is signed “The League of Strange.”
You read the letter over and over again. Can this be true? It can’t! You start pounding on the door and screaming. Hoping that anyone will hear you and give you an explanation, or tell you that this is all a horrible dream. No one hears your screams and finally you are quiet.
