I Am Not Going To Stop!

I am not going to give up on And Three To Go. I am not going to stop! You may have read my recent post about how I reviewed my priorities here on the blog and I  decided to scale back a bit. I feel like I may have been a bit confusing, so I wanted to reiterate what I plan to do at this point. This is I guess what could be my new mission statement for my blog.

1. I am NOT going to stop writing!

But, I am going to stop writing for business purposes only. I am going to write about our lives here in Phuket, our travels (or lack thereof presently), and expat life in Thailand in general. I will write about what we are doing from my personal perspective. I am tired of writing informative posts for the purpose of getting clicks. I am tired of slaving over Pinterest and Facebook trying to get more views on my articles.

Honestly, there is nothing above that is wrong, or should not be done by any blogger anywhere. They are all admirable and achievable goals if you have the will. I had fully planned to make a travel website that would instill the fire of travel in parents of toddlers hearts. I still want to do that. And I can do that, and plan to do so on a more personal level. I don’t need thousands of followers, I only need the ones I have that love to read my posts and connect. Which brings me to my next point.

Yellow Light! I am not going to stop, or go the way I was, I am just slowing down a little.

2. I am NOT going to stop connecting.

I am not going to ever stop responding to comments from you here at And Three To Go. What I am going to do though is scale back on the amount of blogs that I read and comment on. I have so many favorite blogs (you guys know who you are) and I love to chat with my fellow bloggers, but reading through 111 blogs, some of them with multiple posts a week, can be extremely overwhelming.  I want to concentrate of the blogs I love so I can chat and share and promote them. No more will I go searching for new blogs just to market my own. The connections I make here I want to be real ones, not ones that serve a purpose.

3. I am NOT going to stop being me.

I lost my voice for a while in my writing here because I was trying to appeal to the masses. I wanted a viral post more than anything and for that I needed basic posts that would grab people with twitter ready blurbs.

I am not good at writing twitter ready blurbs! (Is that tweetable? Ha!)

I want to spend my time writing to have a personal conversation with YOU,  I admit that I have spent way more time trying to think of titles to posts that would grab people and keep them than writing a post. I would stress out over that and other blog marketing strategies. I want my voice back. From now on (after a couple of saved up posts) the posts will be more from me.

4. I am NOT going to stop evolving.

This article is what I plan on doing right now. Until I get my “groove” back and feel I can keep my voice and take the time to market this blog, I am not going to market the blog. That’s it. But I am constantly changing and evolving, so I will keep you in the know if/when things change.

Who knows what is going to happen along this journey? As long as I can connect with you all then the adventure will continue!
Who knows what is going to happen along this journey? As long as I can continue to connect with you all then the adventure on And Three To Go will last!

To all the bloggers:

Have you ever felt like scaling back on your blogging? Did you do so? How did it turn out?

To all my readers:

What has been your favorite type of post here on And Three To Go? Would you prefer more pictures, more personal stories, anything else? What would make you feel more comfortable to comment and connect with me? Please let me know. 🙂

Thank you to all of you for all your help, love, and support! xoxox
