I dropped my mom off at the airport a couple of nights ago… and for a bit I wallowed (ok, I wallowed for a whole day), but I am now filled with feelings of happiness.
I am happy because my mom chose to spend her time and money traveling all the way to Thailand and making me, Chad, and Z feel extra special and loved. And this is the SECOND time she has done this! We are spoiled. (She even did my dishes and laundry while she was here, despite my attempts to get her to stop and relax!)
I am happy because I was able to show my mom an awesome time here in Phuket and have broken the bad juju from her previous visit. Great weather and running water the whole time she was here! Hooray!
I am happy because my mom (and the rest of my family) are young and healthy and able to travel with ease. This makes it much easier living on the other side of the world.
I am happy because I have the best mom and Z has the best Nana.
