Monday Montage: Healthy

This month is just flying by, it is already almost over! My goodness, where does the time go? I will have more about what I have been up to in next weeks post, but right now  I am going to dive right into my post because I really want you to read about and follow my blog of the week!

Blog of the Week

The Homeschooling Doctor has been one of my favorites for a very long time. Terri is a homeschooling mom of 4 children whose resume includes an M.D.. She writes about her families whole food diet and shares about everything from butyrate to different types of fat. She also shares recipes that look delicious and are actually really healthy for you! Bonus!

Pretty much, I feel like Terri and I are sisters from another mother… is that how that goes? I’m not sure, but I feel like we would be fast friends if I lived in her hometown or she relocated to Phuket (hint hint Terri + family?). Who know’s, it could happen.

Regardless of anything else, make sure to go and follow her and learn more about how to eat healthy and get healthy. Do it!

Best birthday cards ever… and now you know my age… oops….
This is how we transport floaties to our new house... on our scooter. It was really fun trying to hold them on the scooter while we were driving.

Now it’s your turn! Would you eat cockroach berry salad? What about ride on a scooter with floaties? If you are 36 or older, do you have any advice for me? Leave a comment and let’s chat!

At almost 20 years older Jenny I would suggest really trying to embrace every day. It can be so busy with a little one but the days will fly by. That and sunscreen and a good face cream. 🙂

Yep! It’s fun, but we rarely use it with z, so it sits a lot 🙂

Ha ha, the floaty scooter adventure could’ve gone terribly wrong! Happy birthday… I am 3 months away from turning 36, so I will offer no advice 😉

House swap!? 🙂 Congratulations on the move. And on the ingenuity of the float transport. ☆ I will definitely check out that blog. I recently paid to do an online health course with a Doctor naturalist in Australia. It was wonderful, but I like the idea of FREE. Always a bonus!! And I already feel there’s a connection with having 4 kids!!!!

Happy Birthday oh young ‘un! You are just a baby 🙂 !!! You should do a post on the house, show us inside. The yard looks great, as does the pool. I bet you will be taking full advantage. I checked out Terri’s blog recently…good information on trans fat. Breaks it down nicely. Oh.. I will pass on the cockroach..ha hah!

Shew! I made it here finally! Thank you so much for the kind words. I can totally see you, Chad, Brandon, and me hanging out by that pool with a glass of whatever suits each (Brandon is fond of beer, like Chad) solving all the world’s problems. (LOL! 🙂 ) while the kids play. But you’ll never get us on that scooter! I love the look of your new place. How was it moving? Was there really cockroach on the salad? Or was it a mis-interpret? As ever, with the best, fondest regards—Terri

Sounds like a great plan! So when are you guys coming??? 🙂
The moving was good, but as with any move, one realized how much crap they accumulate. Haha
I have no idea about the cockroach salad… I will have to research it with some Thai friends I think.
So glad to have found you and be able to share your lovely blog! Xoxox

The comment showed up in my e-mail! Yay! My answer to myself on when we can travel across large oceans to new continents with these four hoodlums is five years. Five years, Terri. Hopefully in five years we can be globetrotters! Your patio looks perfect. I miss our pool. So much fun.

Your backyard looks like a villa in paradise! Oh wait, that’s what it actually is, right? 🙂 I didn’t know you had a scooter. Would you rather drive that or your car in Thailand?

Yep 🙂 am I tempting you guys enough yet? My Friday post I am giving a grand tour (of our still messy house haha). 🙂 if we had a smaller car instead of a big truck I would rather take a car. And we always take the truck with Z. But for getting around easily and close to here, I prefer the scooter

I’ve been tempted for a while :). I am just biding my time for great tickets (or enough FF miles) to do Singapore, visit friends in Penang, and then Thailand. You did say you have a guest house, right..? 🙂 Looking forward to your tour on Friday!
Ahh, so you have a scooter, but you haven’t joined the ranks of making the scooter the family car. Do people ride bikes there or is that just a fast pass to the nearest ER?

It is the newest growing fad among Thais to ride bikes… I personally would be too scared and the roads are often just not constructed well enough for me to get my butt on one. 🙂

Happy Birthday Jenny. You look great. I wouldn’t have thought that you were a day over 30. 🙂

p.s. I forgot to say that I love the fact that you have a fantastic pool and lots of very clean, cool-tiled space. One thing I really like in developing countries is a cold floor with no carpets ‘cos at home I usually wear socks with eeryything but in Thailand, it’s nice to feel the sand between your toes or cool, cold, clean floor tiles LOL!

I totally agree about the tile. I don’t think I will ever be able to go back to a carpeted house… Or wearing shoes in the house for that matter 🙂
