Monday Montage: Christmas Prep in Pictures

Last week I talked about how I was feeling about Christmas, which is coming up in 4 DAYS!!! Holy crap, this post will have to be short as I am totally unprepared gift-wise and need to get my rear-end to the mall asap! So without wasting more time, here the pictures that show some of the ways that we have prepared for the holiday season.

Getting our fake tree set up for decorating. One can buy real Christmas trees here, but a 4-5 foot tree (from France) costs over $100 US!!!! So we have a fake tree. I sure miss the tree smell though.

This was the hardest thing to find here, the tree topper. For some reason they aren't popular here.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I just introduced all the Christmas classic stop-motion movies to Z. This one is her favorite.

Your tree looks so pretty! We have a fake one too, and I love it!! My Z and I made some cinnamon ornaments a few years ago to give it more of a Christmas-y smell. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!!

It’s a perfect Christmas aura! I love the one of Z and Chad doing the tree. Priceless! Our tree topper is a big, bouffant bow. We’ve had it for about 8 years now. Fluff it up every Christmas, but one of the girls is like, I want a star or an angel. They tried to put a Barbie doll up there, all dressed up.

Hahha… A Barbie angel type topper wouldn’t be so bad I guess. Back in the states in our storage we have a Victorian-Esque Minnie Mouse tree topper. Can’t wait to get it back here to Thailand. Merry Christmas!

I’m totally behind this year too. We opted for a smaller tree this year and I still have to put the ornaments up! Ahhhhh! At least I got the presents done lol. Love your Christmas corner! Have a very Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to yourself, Chad and “Z”. My, how lovely she’s looking every day. 🙂

Awww! I love the little beautifully-lit Xmas tree and cartoons of Rudolph, right in the middle of tropical Thailand. So cute and yet so important, to keep those traditions going lol!
    ‘Love it!
p.s. We always celebrate two lots of Xmas – One German on December 24th and one British, on December 25th lol!

That’s awesome! We celebrated that way when we lived in the States, one Christmas with Chad’s parents on Christmas Eve and the real Christmas with my
Family. I hope your holidays were fantastic!
