A few weeks ago Z was invited to a birthday party at Splash Jungle Water Park here in Phuket. As it is for every mom in the world, part of the annoyance fun of being a parent is getting to go to other children’s birthday parties! No, but seriously, this birthday party I was actually pretty excited about.
I am not a person that particularly likes water slides. or anything that involves heights. But I love to see Z playing and having fun with her friends, and being able to sit in the sun while I do so sounds like a great day to me!
The price of entrance is a bit heavy depending on the time of year, but another great reason that this birthday party was so awesome is that it was free for Z and me! Admission and food were paid for by our lovely hosts (thank you guys)! It was a full paid fun day!
We arrived bright and early at the park around 10 am, which was right when the park opened. The day was a bit overcast, but Z and I had high hopes that it would burn off quickly and we would have a fun day at the park.

**Little Side Note here… if you are planning on bringing snacks or drinks of any kind into the park, be aware, THEY WILL CHECK YOUR BAG, and they will make you throw out any contraband food and drinks. Bummer!**
Another lucky aspect of this day for us was that it was during low season, so the crowds were at a minimum. Z and I changed into our bathing suits quickly in the large and clean locker/shower room and headed straight to the kiddie pools.
The kiddie pools were massive and amazing! I will let the pictures do the talking for me. Why should I tell what I can show right?!

While Z played, I laid. On the benches right next to the pool.

I admit that I did not ride any of the many slides that were available and very high up. Another great thing about being a mom of a toddler, is I have an excuse to not go on the slides that she is not tall enough for (winning!).

We spent a couple of hours playing around and then had some lunch and birthday cake at the cafe. The food was not bad, but not much to speak about. It was okay. Meh.

After our lunch, we traveled back to our sunning beds just in time for the storm to finally roll in. I guess the overcast weather decided not to burn off. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

The day ended early, but it was still a lot of fun. I think I would like to go back with Chad as well one time to truly do the park justice… Anyone want to join us? 🙂
